Research Use Notice
Last updated: October 20, 2026. Subject to change.
Intended use
Unless expressly authorized in a separate written agreement and permitted by applicable law, PLAS materials and information described on this Website are intended solely for laboratory research and evaluation. They are not intended for clinical diagnosis or treatment, for administration to humans, for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, or for incorporation into products intended for human use.
Permitted research. Internal research and evaluation by the recipient organization, including academic, institutional and commercial organizations, is the intended use. Characterization of samples by contract or partner laboratories on the recipient's behalf is permitted under the terms in the Sample Terms.
Not permitted without separate written authorization:
- use in humans, or in diagnostic, therapeutic or other clinical procedures;
- use in animals (requires prior written authorization by PLAS);
- resale, transfer or distribution of the materials to third parties, other than as allowed in the Sample Terms;
- incorporation of the materials into products or services offered to third parties;
- any use that requires regulatory approval or clearance.
Status of the technology
The PLAS-100S platform is under development; no instrument is offered for sale. Statements about the platform describe target design parameters and technical concepts. They have not been independently verified or certified and may change. Research samples are produced using PLAS laboratory laser-synthesis technology.
Scientific and technical descriptions
Nanoparticle characteristics depend on material composition, laser configuration, liquid medium, separation or filtration options, measurement approach and other conditions. Results described by PLAS come from company experiments under specific conditions, have not been independently verified, and are not a guarantee of results under other conditions, with other materials or in other laboratories. Statements about size, concentration, productivity, compatibility and reproducibility should be read in light of the underlying data and the applicable experimental conditions.
No clinical or regulatory claims
References to biological research, pharmaceutical research or preclinical evaluation do not indicate that a material, product or procedure has been approved or cleared by a regulatory authority for medical use, or that it is safe or effective for any particular clinical purpose. Biocompatibility for specific applications has not been independently evaluated.
Samples
Samples are supplied only under a written agreement or written Sample Terms provided by PLAS, for internal research or evaluation. Samples are experimental. Their hazards may not be fully characterized, and they must be handled, stored and disposed of in accordance with applicable law, institutional safety rules and the hazard information supplied with them.
Samples may be supplied under the research-and-development exemption of the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) or another lawful regulatory status, as determined for the particular material and quantity and subject to the applicable notification and supervision requirements. This Website does not represent that all PLAS materials qualify for any exemption. Supply of samples does not transfer any trademark, know-how or other intellectual property right.
Pilot and evaluation requests
Requests for samples, technical consultation or pilot participation are subject to suitability, safety and compliance review and to written terms. Submitting a request does not oblige PLAS to provide samples, services or a response.
Confidentiality and intellectual property
Do not send confidential technical information or protected personal information through the public Website. Contact us first to arrange an appropriate agreement and a secure way to exchange information. Technical details shown publicly are not complete specifications or manufacturing instructions. See also our Terms of Use.
