Last updated: October 20, 2026. Subject to change.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using plasrs.com (the “Website”), operated by PLAS Research Solutions LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“PLAS”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. Supply of materials, pilot participation and any other collaboration are governed by separate written terms (see Sections 2 and 6).
2. Information only; no offer
The Website and the documents offered for download provide general information about PLAS and the technology it is developing. They are not an offer, quotation, warranty or commitment of any kind.
- Technical parameters, specifications, descriptions and illustrations are indicative, depend on material, configuration, operating mode and experimental conditions, and may change without notice.
- Scientific and technical information is based on particular experimental conditions, unless stated otherwise. It is not a guarantee of results under other conditions, with other materials or in other laboratories.
- Images, diagrams and renderings are illustrative and may not show a final design.
- No statement on the Website or in a downloadable document becomes part of any agreement unless a written agreement signed by PLAS expressly incorporates it. Binding specifications, if any, are defined only in such an agreement.
- Any supply of equipment or materials, any participation in a pilot program and any transfer of samples are subject to a separate written agreement or written terms provided by PLAS.
3. Status of the technology
The PLAS-100S platform is under development. No instrument is offered for sale on this Website. Descriptions of the platform on the Website describe target design parameters and technical concepts, unless stated otherwise.
4. Research use only
Materials, samples and information provided by PLAS are for research or evaluation purposes only. They are not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, in clinical applications, or in humans. Use in animals requires the prior written authorization of PLAS. Biocompatibility for specific applications has not been independently evaluated. You are responsible for assessing whether any material or information is suitable for your intended use. See also our Research Use Notice.
5. Intellectual property
The text, images, logos, designs and documents on the Website belong to PLAS or its licensors. You may view the Website and download documents for your own evaluation. Reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial use of any content requires our prior written permission.
PLAS RESEARCH SOLUTIONS and its logo are a registered service mark of PLAS Research Solutions (U.S. Reg. No. 8,311,170). Other names, including PLAS and PLAS-100S, may be trademarks of PLAS Research Solutions LLC. Third-party names and logos, including those of ASTM International and SPIE, belong to their respective owners and are shown to indicate membership; they do not imply endorsement of PLAS or its products.
No right or license under any trade secret, trademark, know-how or other intellectual property right is granted or transferred by the Website, by any document offered for download, by discussions with PLAS, or by the supply of samples, except as expressly stated in a written agreement signed by PLAS. Nothing in these Terms limits any right the United States Government may have under applicable law or funding agreements. Ownership of results of any collaborative or evaluation work is governed by the applicable written agreement.
6. Samples and materials
Nanoparticle samples and other materials supplied by PLAS (“Materials”) are supplied only under a written agreement signed by PLAS or written sample terms provided by PLAS (“Sample Terms”). The Sample Terms or the agreement control over these Terms. In general, Materials are experimental, are supplied for internal research or evaluation only, may not be passed on to third parties except as the Sample Terms allow, and are provided “as is”.
Materials may be supplied under the research-and-development exemption of the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) or another lawful regulatory status, as determined for the particular material and quantity and subject to the applicable notification, supervision and record-keeping requirements. Nothing on this Website represents that all PLAS materials qualify for any exemption. The recipient is responsible for compliance with TSCA and all other laws that apply to its use of the Materials.
7. Confidential information
Please do not send confidential or proprietary information through the Website or by email before a written confidentiality agreement is in place. Information you send without such an agreement may be treated as non-confidential. This does not affect your rights regarding personal data under our Privacy Policy or any written obligation we have undertaken.
8. Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the Website, attempt unauthorized access, run malicious automated activity, or send unlawful, harmful or misleading communications. Submitting an inquiry does not enroll you in a pilot program or oblige PLAS to provide samples, equipment, technical assistance or any response.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. PLAS does not warrant that any product or technology described on the Website will meet your requirements or will be made available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PLAS and its members, managers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, research data, experiments, opportunities or goodwill, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Website or your reliance on its content. This Section applies to the Website and its content. Liability relating to Materials, pilots or equipment is governed by the applicable written agreement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Export controls and screening
Technical information, Materials and any equipment may be subject to United States export control, sanctions and related laws and regulations. PLAS may screen prospective recipients and requests and may decline, delay or condition any request or shipment for compliance reasons. You are responsible for complying with all applicable export, re-export and transfer restrictions.
